Your conscience is the best guide

Chanji and Dhake were conscientiously carrying out their responsibilities [with regard to Meher Ashram school], which they took very seriously. They were under constant pressure and were extremely careful not to do anything that might upset Baba. But Baba being Baba, always found some fault with them.

Baba replied …

Neither praise nor blame should distract you from the path of your duty. Leave aside all other considerations; if your conscience tells you that you have discharged the duty properly, that is enough. Your conscience is the best guide.
